When I date back five years ago

When I date back five years ago, I reminisce about the frustration I had on me in regard to learning English. I used to frustrate and angry myself, why I can't understand newspapers/stories, but small childred read newspapes with easily.

No - the phrase is "with/in regard to". There is also a phrase "as regards" = concerning. "As regards my tax payment, it will be made as soon as I have earned enough money."
