"When first I"

I sometimes like to start sentences with a word order like:

"When first I entered into the study of"

Instead of

"When I first..."

It sounds correct, if archaic. But I was wondering if there was a name for the this element of speech, of using ordering sentences like "When first I..." or whatever.
