When do you choose to say "In my humble opinion, ......"

My past experience tells me that you should not use mixed number in your working. Please avoid it at all cost, in my opinion/in my humble opinion.

Do you think if you say "In my humble opinion, ......", it will make you look like you're less sure of yourself and people will waiting for another advice rathen than taking you seriously in what you said?

When do you choose to say "In my humble opinion, ......"?

If you use 'in my humble opinion', you have to do it in a sentence that contains an opinion, of course. Please avoid ... is a command, not an opinion.
