When do I have to use might, may, and coul?

Why do I have to write the 3 answers (might, may, could)? I read in a book the following answers:
A: I've got the tickets already! B: I know, buit they might/may/could need me at work.
A:Why don't you ask Martha to work for you?
B: No, my boss could/may/might get upset. I couldn't do that.
A: You never know. . He may not/might not mind, as long as someone's there!
Help me please.
