WHEN did you joined oe when did you JOIN?

I know the correct answer is WHEN DID YOU JOIN ? why we cannot use WHEN DID YOU JOINED?

Isnt everytime after the word DID, we have to use present tense?

are we using present perfect tense here?

I didn't join.

No, I didn't

'Join' in the middle two sentences is a nonfinite verb. The finite verb is 'do', which is what shows tense, in this case past tense.

Perfect tenses use the auxiliary verb 'have', not 'do': Have you joined yet?

Thanks very much for your reply, Mister Micawber.

I am suprised that there are so many different kinds of verbs.

Can you or Could you (I am not sure which one to use, sorry) explain to me

the different types of verbs out there?

A verb, in its more simplest form, is supposed to agree with its subject, am I right?
