Is having the "when" clause correct? Is the sentence correct?
My cut burns more now when I run it under water than an hour ago.

That's fine for speech. When writing it sounds better (to me) to include the change of tense - My cut burns more now when I run it under water than it did an hour ago. d

That's fine for speech. When writing it sounds better (to me) to include the change of tense -
