"When being deployed" or "When deployed"

Hi, does anyone know whether the "When being deployed" is correct in the following sentence? Or we can use "when deployed"?

Those packages co-work with each other when being deployed together while they can also work independently when being separately deployed.

'Being' is wrong here; delete it in both instances. 'Co-work' is not a word, and would be redundant if it were. A comma is required before 'while'.

Thank you, Mister Micawber. If I remove co-work, I need to use another word to replace it. Do you think "work" will do?

Yes, or 'function' or 'operate' (I presume a 'package' is not human).
