When beginning a sentence with a coordinating conjunction...

I heard that when you start a sentence with a coordinating conjunction, you are never supposed to place a comment directly after it, even if the information is nonessential.

I'm talking about all sentences in general. ALL sentences that BEGIN WITH a COORDINATING conjunction. I don't feel I should have to provide an example with a question as general as mine.
