When are you NOT required to use a comma before a quote?
I know that you don't have to use a comma to introduce a quote preceded by the word 'that', but with what other words/situations does this rule apply.
e.g. The scientist said that "Cats are orange and dogs are bright purple."
e.g. The scientist said that "Cats are orange and dogs are bright purple."
