WHEN AND WHERE TO USE PLURAL IN SENTENCES?

WE GENERALLY APPLY PLURAL IN THE WORLD WHEN WE ARE TALKING ABOUT MORE THAN ONE THING IN THE SENTENCE.

EXAMPLE-SPRING INDEX FOR BOTH THE SPRINGS IS SIX
SPRING INDEX FOR BOTH THE SPRING IS SIX
WHICH ONE IS CORRECT?

BUT IN SOME SENTENCES WE DO NOT USE PLURAL EVEN THOUGH WE ARE TALKING ABOUT MORE THAN ONE THING
EXAMPLE-WE WANT TO FREE OUR COUNTRY FRO CORRUPTION

ONE MORE THING HAVE I USED THE PLURAL AT CORRECT PLACES IN WRITING MY QUESTION TO YOU?

CAN WE USE PLURAL IN NOUN,ADJECTIVE,VERB,PRONOUN ?
