When and when not to use "on" with days?

0 I think I need some help on this. When and when not to use "on" with the day of the week? Please look at the following sentences: 02br
02br
00He left for New York last Friday. 02br
00He left for New York ON last Friday. 02br
02br
00Let's meet again Friday. 02br
00Let's meet again ON Friday. 02br
02br
00Which one of the above is grammatically correct? Or, is it that both are okay, and it's just a matter of style and regional usage (American Vs British)? 02br
02br
00Thanks much in advance for your help. 0-
