"When...."

Which sentence is correct?

1. "When you are holding baby Amy in car, do not fall into sleep and hold her tightly."

2. "When holding baby Amy in car, do not fall into sleep and hold her firmly."

- do i need to put "you are" in this sentence?

- which vocab "tightly" or "firmly" is suitable to use in this context, for "holding baby"?

thank you!

Hi I think 'fall into sleep' is ambiguous. You can instead use 'fall asleep'. " I think placing the phrase 'hold her firmly' before 'donot fall asleep' makes the sentence sound more natural.

Hi

I think 'fall into sleep' is ambiguous. You can instead use 'fall asleep'. 'Firmly' is more appropriate for this context when compared to 'tightly'.So the sentence is:

"When you are holding baby Amy in car, hold her firmly and do not fall asleep."

I think placing the phrase 'hold her firmly' before 'donot fall asleep' makes the sentence sound more natural.
