Hi, could you please tell me which of the following sentences are correct? Or are all of them appropriate? Are there any differences in meaning?

He always makes very funny facial expressions when he describes something.

He always made very funny facial expressions when he described something.

He alwys made very funny facial expessions when he was describing something.
