Hi,


A. When that was refuted by the comittee, he hurriedly organised an interview with his mouth piece radio station to lecture the world.

B. When that had been refuted by the comittee, he hurriedly organised an interview with his mouth piece radio station to lecture the world.

A. I want to change from the topic we had been talking about and want to go in to the issue of the peace process and its developments

B. I want to change from the topic we were talking about and want to go in to the issue of the peace process and its developments


Which of the above are correct sentence and why?

According to the rules in grammer books I have refered to, the Bs in the above sentences are correct

in the first A: there are two actions both in the past "refuted by the comittee" should be past perfect form b/c it happened before the next action.

and in the second A:

"want to change" is in present form so next sentence should be in past form "were tal
