What does whatsoever exactly mean?

Is it the same with whatever?

Hi, Whatever pronoun - Tom will give me whatever i need. adjective - Tom will give me whatever money I need. Whatsoever can be used in the same way as I have explained above for 'whatever', but this usage is now close to archaic.
