What's your verdict on my approach to the question?

What's your verdict on my approach to the question?
Can this be asked to mean what's your opinion on my approach to the question?
Thanks.

Hi, Yes. But it sounds like the person has the right to judge it, eg to decide if it was good or bad. When you say 'my approach to the question', do you mean 'my answer'?

Thanks, Clive.

I actually wanted to ask a veteran member about this in a math forum.

No, I don't mean 'answer', I mean 'approach' that sounds like:
Recognize and settle the part of circular permutation first, then confirm that the rest of the configuration can be treated the same as linear permutation. After that, apply the formulas accordingly.
