What's wrong with this sentence?

You will come to my house for dinner next week.

There is a error in this sentence.

I though the speaker wanted to ask the person to come to his house...But this sentence is a statement, not a question.

What do you guys think?

Hi, If you are just looking at grammar, there is nothing wrong with this sentence. If you are looking at meaning, there are contexts where you would say this, but it's not something you would commonly say. Best wishes, Clive

I agree with Clive - the sentence is grammaticaly corrrect, but it would not often be heard in conversation. It sounds like either a prediction of the future ("Sorry, you will not marry a tall, dark stranger. But you will come to my house for dinner next week.") or a command (and we don't usually command people to come to our homes for dinner).

You seem to be working from some exercise

Reflecting on the day's lessons, Maggie realized that she would not be able to use her father's tools again, she regretted using them without permission, but she regretted the accident more than anything.

I believe that when adding an apostrophe after the "r" in father's is incorect. You want to say father not father-sis (meaning more than one father). I'm not sure so try and double check.

I'd say

You are coming...or You are going to come...

I am not a guy, though...

. To say "my father's tools" is correct because the 's indicates the tools belonging to your father.
