What's wrong with irish?
Well, not just one time I saw people in movies mention irish with a funny, doubt or strange face. I am wondering, is there a well-know story behind it? Thanks.

Speaking as an Irish person, I'd like to point out that the word requires a capital letter.
The fact of the matter is that the English like to mock the Irish because they are intimidated by Irish people's superior grasp of the English language, better sense of humour, and Celtic good looks.
