What's wrong here?

Supplying Industry Since 1990

I'm trying to come up with a slogan. My peer quickly pointed out that this is wrong. He doesn't know why, and I can't figure it out either. What I'm trying to say is, "we have been supplying industry since 1990 and will continue to do so."

Perhaps "supply industry" seems strange to you and your friends. You supply parts, goods, services to industry.

We have been supplying widgets to our customers since 1990 and will continue to do so."

But I would rather replace supplying with a verb as opposed to an adjective. It's kind of ambiguous being a clause.

"supplying" is a (non-finite) verb. Its complement is "industry".

Maybe you mean a noun phrase.

Trusted supplier to industry since 1990.
