What's the words for this sentence

Hi everyone,

If the action is to take the whole ceiling grid (the kind of false ceiling above your head in the office) which does not involve any demolishing of any of ceiling, simply just poke and lift, and this action has to be done over for maybe a period of time, thus labor cost involved. Then I can do some wiring in the ceiling.

If i have to put this description for this action on an invoice, how should I put it in an invoice? I have a couple of them as follows: Please check, thanks

Taking off the ceiling grid to hook up the conduits.

Installation of the conduits requiring temporarily removal of the ceiling grid.

Dismantling the ceiling grid temporarily and installation of the conduits.

Does "remove" or "dismantle" have the sense of "discard"?

Thank you very much.

Hi Avangi,

You just have to lift and take the panels off from the ceiling, one by one. This is barely work but consider a whole office. So labour cost is what it meant for. Later when other works inside between the false ceiling and the ceiling are done, all panels will be back in its original position.

"Dismantling" and "reassembling" are suitable and natural for taking the grid apart, but I don't think you intend to do that.

I'd just say "removing the panels and putting them back." I know it doesn't sound very technical. You could probably charge more if you said "dismantling and reassembling."

That's right. Even so I couldn't bring myself to do so. Emotion: stick out tongue

Would "take off" likely be ok too? it'd be more causu

"take off" works.

By the way, we wouldn't say, "put it back the panels." We don't need the "it."

take off the panels charge for taking off the panels
remove the panels charge for removing the panels
put the panels badk charge for putting the panels back
put back the panels charge for putting back the panels
reinstall the panels charge for reinstallin

Would "unloading the panels temporarily and reloading them" work?

Thanks

It might be understood, but it would not be a natural thing for a native speaker to say.
