What's the word I'm looking for?

Dear Users,

A friend of mine has just sent me a few voice messages on an instant messenger and I'm unable to listen to them because for some reason her voice is breaking up. I hope this explanation makes sense. Now, I want to reply to her messages and say something along these lines:

Unfortunately, I can't hear you. The messages are unopenable/unlistenable. I'm sitting in the living room now and typing an e-mail to you.

Could you tell me if this would pass for a native-like message? How else could I express what I'm trying to say here?

Thank you!
