What's the word for this?

0 Hi, I'm looking for the English word that refers to "extreme" adjectives, such as "never," "always," "best," "most," "highest," etc. Can someone tell me what that word is? I just cannot come up with it. The word that keeps coming to mind is "expletive," but of course that's not it; I think the word must be similar to it, though. Thanks much. 0-
