What's the word?

How do you usually call these small narrow roads in between houses in contrast to those streets and main roads. You sometimes take these in order to get to places faster like a short cut instead of using the main road.

Hi,

To me, an alley suggests a downtown space with buildings very close on both sides. I don't see that in these pictures.

Possibly 'a lane'. Or 'a path'.

But we have one on my street, that goes between two houses and into a park. Every

I would call it a path too.

Alley gives the feeling of being enclosed on both sides with walls or fences (solid wooden fence).

According to your picture, it feels open on both sides so a path seems to be the best bet.
