What's the word?

Is there a word or shorter phrase that can combine those descriptions in the bracket?

I'm not going to (make myself feel all sad and depressed) over the event.

Thanks so much.

"I got in a fender bender (minor car accident) this morning but I'm not going to let it ruin my day."

"I'm not going to let it get me down that my Harvard college application was rejected bec
