What's the " 's" in this word?

Hi everyone.

I saw words which have " 's " after them, like chemist's. This 's has no relation with the sentence. So it gave some meaning to the word chemist. What is it? How we can use it?

Thanks

CHEMIST'S is short for CHEMIST'S SHOP, i.e. a shop that is run by a chemist. (It's used in Britain and its colonies; in America, chemist's shops are called drugstores.)
It's similar to "Let's go to John's", meaning "Let's go to John's HOUSE".

It's a special use of the genitive (possessive) case that's typically used for premises or establishments:

"Whilst you're in town, can you call into the chemist's for me"? (chemist's shop)
"Last night, we ate at Bert's". (Bert's restaurant)
"I'm going to the dentist's". (The dentist's surgery)
"We visited St Paul's". (St Paul's Cathedral)
