What's the point doing this?

Hi

It does sound weird to me, nevertheless, is it possible to say 'What is the point doing this?'

Without 'in' or 'of'?

Thanks!

MustAsk What is the point doing this? It seems to me that I vaguely remember hearing this, so I suppose you could say it's possible. Nevertheless, when it has "in" or "of", it sounds more 'correct'.
