What's the name of the instrument dermatalogists (sp.) use to stab pimples?
Around three weeks ago, I tried to find a site online selling dermatologist supplies. I had no luck. What's the name of this instrument that he uses to stab pimples? It's got a long shaft and the top part looks like a sewing needle, but only thicker. So, I stabbed the pimples on my leg with a long sewing needle. That made them all more tender and it taking longer to heal, but it doesn't look like they scarred. So, now I was hoping to find the name of the instrument the dermatologist uses in case it doesn't cost too much money.
Also, do you know how to do the technique the dermatologist does? He seems to be repeatedly poking them. Is the technique called "lancing"? That's what my aunt called it, so I called it that when I was talkign to the dermatologist about it, and he answered me by calling it that too. Also, another dermatologist referred to the technique as something surgeory. This was fifteen or sixteen years ago, so I forgot what he called it, but have been dying to know for a long time.
Do you know if there are any other technical ways to describe this procedure? Also, co-payments went from $8 to $15 in just around two or three years, and the only two times I went to my dermatalogist (sp) he does this trick where he walks around the table I'm lying on and heads out the door before I'm done showing him all my pimples and so I realize that my appointment is over. I waited one hour and three minutes past my appointment three weeks ago, so I also should ask: What is the dermatalogist stabbing at when he stabs pimples? The root?
Thanks for the umpteenth time for any help.
