Could please help me with the following? What is the meaning of :

1) They're all together ooky;

2) They are really a scream;

3) He threw huge figures around and made giant commitments;

4) After talking to his mother on the phone he hung up. (My question here is: What's the opposite to hang up

in this context ?)

5) Today is John's birthday! [Here I would like to know how 's named the person who makes birthday (the noun)].
