What's the meaning

of going out hard on the weekend here?

"When I started taking everything(his vitamins & supplements) I was in the throes of my first year out of school in NYC working at a bank. Was working 100 hours a week, going out hard on the weekend, hadn't worked out since college sport ended and was consuming copious amounts of other recreational substances."

Thanks a million!
