What's the matter? Or Why did you call?

Hi

When someone contacts us by phone, and we wish to know the reason for the call, how do we ask that politely while sounding natural?

Both, What's the matter? And Why did you call? don't sound polite.....

Please tell me a better way of asking this..

Thank you
