What's the different between "too" and "I do love"

Hi everybody I'm from Turkey and I want to be an english teacher. So have been studying english for two months and I'm going to study until the exam that will be done on June.

So I want to ask you this.

A- "I love cats very much"
B- " I love cats too" or "do too" (is the second one true?)

and

A- "I love cats very much"
B- "I do love"

What is the different between first one and second one?

  • (OK) "I do, too" is short for, "I love cats, too", wherein 'love cats' is replaced by 'do'.

Pat: Me, too. (OK)

"Me, too" is short for, "As for me, I love cats, too."

Max: I love cats.
Pat: I do, too. (OK)

"I do, too" is short for, "I love cats, too", wherein 'love cats' is replaced by 'do'.

Note, since 'do' replaces 'love cats', the two cannot stand together, so:

Pat: I do love. (Not OK)
