What's the difference between "what a relief" and "quite a relief"?

hello everybody

could someone tell me what the difference between "what a relief" and "quite a relief" is.
example:
1- what a relief it was only a nightmare.
2- quite a relief it was only a nightmare.

I see no difference in meaning. Both of the first sentences are exclamations.

They're quite similar in your example.

I'd say both are casual to the extent that neither is a formal sentence.

If you used only the first three words, "What a relief!" could be an exclamation,
and "Quite a relief." could be a parenthetical remark.

You can say "It was quite a relief," and it would be formally acceptable;
but you can't say, "It was what a relie
