What's the difference between " restrain" and "refrain" ?

I'm so confused between using ' restrain" and "refrain".

It all mean " to stop yourself from doing something"
and with the structure " restrain/refrain yourself + from + doing sth"

refrain intransitive verb (usually followed by 'from') avoid doing something.
eh He refrained from speaking.
