What's the difference between "health food" and "healthy food"?

Top answer

[/nq] 'Healthy food' is a general description of food that is healthy (spinach, broccoli, carrots, eggs). 'Health food' is a description of food that is prepared, packaged and marketed as healthy, and may be sold in special 'health food' stores. 'Health food' may even be healthy food, but don't bet on it.
