what's the difference between 'contract' and 'abbreviation'?

what's the difference between 'contract' and 'abbreviation'?
In the following 2 examples :
I am good = I'm good
I do not go to school = i don't go to school

I think both the 2 sentences can be called ' contract ' or 'abbreviation'(verbs)

so i'm confusion with the two words 'contract' and 'abbreviation' now .

Is there anybody who will to help with my question ? thank you a lot !

"contract" and "abbreviate" are verbs ("contract" can also be a noun, but only in another sense not relevant here) "contraction" and "abbreviation" are nouns. Words like "I'm", "don't", "it's", "he'll" etc. are more properly called "contractions".
