What’s the difference between “actually” and “absolutely”?

Could you please tell me the difference between “actually” and “absolutely”?
“Do you think it’s a good idea to make friends with your students?” “Actually/Absolutely, I do. I think it’s a great idea.”

The one with actually seems to imply something to the effect of Contrary to what you/one would expect, I do. Absolutely is just an emphatic way of saying yes and could be said without I do.
