I like ( or dont like ) to smoke - I like ( or I dont like ) Smoking

  • I think I would be more likely to use the first if I meant "I lit up a cigarette" and the second if I meant "I took up the habit of smoking".
  • Nevertheless, both forms can be used for both meanings.

Im sorry but is it the same in the positive ???

I like smoking can mean 'when anybody does it' in addition to 'when I do it'.
I like to smoke means 'when I do it' only.

It would be an extremely odd sentiment. Many sentences in any language can be interpreted in weird ways if you try hard enough. Use common sense if you wish to communicate successfully.
