What's the differenc?

I haven't been to London.

One book used by many teachers (THE GRAMMAR BOOK) says: Perhaps the version with "never" is more emphatic. The author says, however, we need more research on this matter. Along these same lines, it is surely more emphatic (stronger) to say, "I have NO money" instead of "I do not have any money," in which you slowly "sneak up" on the idea of negativity.
