What's the correct answer, please ?

Please, help me with the following:

a) The mother asked the boy about the grades / The mother asked him about the grades. (here are both forms correct?);

b) The grandfather liked Tom's gift very much / The grandfather liked his gift very much. (are both sentences correct?);

c) I hope return playing it one day (or) I hope to return to play it one day ?;

d) "Mozart was a great composer. I love listening to his lyrics." (is there any mistake in these sentences ?);

e) I like it very much / I like very much it (are both forms here correct ?)
