What's the connection?

Somebody told me: 'Remember: The opponent wants to beat you. If you don’t move from your position, you'll fall dead – a frustrated loser.' I wonder: What' s the connection between the opponent's desire to beat me and the way I move? Her statements are quite illogical.

Rommel What' s the connection between the opponent's desire to beat me and the way I move? It is not the way that you move; it is a caution against immobility. I see nothing illogical in either case, though, without further context.
