Hi,

The movie will be on show next week. Is it correct?

No. Idiomatic is

The movie will be on next week. This means it will be in the theatre.

The movie will be out next week. This means it will appear for the first time in theatres.

Best wishes, Clive

"The movie will be out next week." doesn't mean the movie will stop showing, right? How about "be off"?

Could you please answer the questions I asked initially? If I use screen this word, which of the following sentences are correct?

  • The new movie will be screened at this cinema next week.

  • The new movie will be screening at this cinema next week.

Hi,

Try to make the sentence with odds, could you please correct it if I am wrong? Don't sat 'what is the odds?', say 'what are the odds?'.

  • What are the odds for this match?
  • What are the odds on this match?
  • What are the odds of this match?
