What's "pre-mountainman hair" supposed to be?

I saw it on an American forum where everybody chitchats with others using pretty much

all random language, but this is indeed the first time that I ever bumped into sth. I don't understand

on that site. Anybody has any idea?TIA.

Gibberish or gobbledygook is a meaningless concoction of random words. This is a little different, in that it evokes some sort of image.

Hi,

Here's my guess.

Mountain-men had long, unkempt beards and hair.

'pre-mountain-man hair' sounds like an adjective describing someone who is close to looking like a mountain-man.

Thank you guys, plus, I'd feel horribly guilty for proposing a question that aches everybody's head

because some dumb people couldn't use a better word.

Yes, but I have no idea how the people who predated the mountain men coifed their hair. Maybe it was short and curly.

Hi,

I didn't mean an earlier style. I meant someone who was so shaggy that they almost looked like a mountainman.

Hi Clive;
I know, and have that same image.
But the poster cited the expression "pre-mountainman," which to me means some civilization predating the mountain men.
