Whatever

e.g Whatever decision you may make, I will support it.

Now about this:

I'll refuse for whatever reason.

If you supposed to add the missing part after "whatever reason", what would it be?

In my opinion, you cannot have the sequence, "...refuse for whatever reason..." The words "for whatever reason" do not match with the verb "refuse" - these particular words are just not used together in English.

But you could say:

I'll refuse no matter what the reason.

I'll refuse whatever he offers.

I'll refuse for any reason.

I'll refuse, whatever
