What'd you vs. What d'you

If one wants to write out the abbreviation of "what do," can they write "what'd" or is that only for "what did?" For example:

"What'd you think?" he asked.

Can that only mean "what did" or can it also be "what do?" If someone wanted to write "what do you think" with that type abbreviation, does it have to be, "What d'you think?"
