hi

my question, my friend like singing , what i noticed in her song that she says:

babe! when ya visit me, tell me what ya see?

is this correct, or should it be:

babe! when ya visit me, tell me what do ya see?

, or is it ok to violate grammar in lyrics and songs!

Both you and ya are fine here; the latter (as I said) is just a transcription of the pronunciation of the former.

There's something else: I think the question mark in '...tell me what ya see?' is out of place.
