What would you explain it means that " You don't know me from GI Joe"?

Q. What would you explain it means that " You don't know me from GI Joe"?

I'mnot sure wheather "me from GI Joe" means "me" served in Army in the past  or serves now.. 

A underlined script of movie , Toy story3 .

Im thinking it means something like all gi joes are the same so Barbie wouldn’t recognize him if he were a gi joe because he looks like all the others. I hope it makes sense.
