What would be a good expression to describe a TV show that has been on air for too long?

Hello,

I'm wondering if there's a good expression that could be used to describe a TV show that has been running for too long. Is there a nice idiom one could use?

Ah, I wish they would finally end this show! It's been on for 14 seasons! Why do they keep it dragging?

There was a TV show that ran out of interesting ideas, and instead had a stupid episode in which one of the characters jumped over a shark in a tank.
