What word do I use to describe this

You saw somebody and you really remember their face or you heard somebody's name and even though you didn't make any effort to remember that, you still remember it after a long time. is it ''your name stuck with me'' ''his face really stuck with me'' I find that verb a little weird but that's what comes first into my mind right, is it a more correct way of expressing this?

Anonymous 'your name stuck with me'' That is a rather common informal expression. Also: His face made a strong impression on me.

I would use "stuck in my head/mind."
