What we can say for this situation?

Hi everyone;

When some one had some bad evet in his/her life, what we say to him/her? For example when an earthquake happened and we want to say something for showing sympathy or praying for their life to be normal as soon as possible.

Thanks

I am sending this note on the chance that it will arrive before I do. I am coming to you now bringing as much drinking water as I have room for, money, blankets, a tent, food, toiletries and first aid supplies. Do not lose hope.

  • I will be there as soon as humanly possible.
  • Make a list of other things you need so that I can go get them for you immediately after I arrive.

Thanks for your reply. But what I asked is phrase and idioms in this situations, like "*** bless you". Can we you this phrase in such situations? Do you know phrases like that?

I can't help with the *** thing, I'm afraid.

I'm sorry for what you're going through. It must be awful. Our hearts go out to you, and we hope that everything will be back to normal soon.

Stuff like that.
