WHAT vs HOW

Which of these is correct? Only one of them? or both?

1, What do you think about it?
2, How do you think about it?

To me, personally at least, Sentence 1 sounds correct but 2 should be "How do you feel...".
If you were asked "How do you think about it?", you might think of an idea to reply, "By using my brain" ??

Or simply both mean the same?
